Terlo Vie Nuove

These vines, which grow on the ridge that one finds between Barolo and the high road which connects Novello with La Morra, were the first that Luigi Einaudi acquired at Barolo, in 1958.

From this land one obtains two classic and powerful Barolo; from the vineyard Costa Grimaldi, which is 0.80 of an hectare, the identical “cru”, while the surrounding 4.10 hectares produces the classic Barolo.

The land has a South Eastern aspect, at a height of 300 to 320 mts above sea level, and consists of marny – limy soil, the vines were planted in 1962/’85/’95 and ’02, with a density of 4500 vines per Hectare.

The average yields are between 60 and 65 q.li per hectare.

The wines of this estate are:

Barolo Costa Grimaldi Docg
Barolo Terlo Docg
Nebbiolo Langhe Doc
